Christmas is a time for christians, or catholics to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. According to their religion Jesus was the son of God and born to the virgin Mary and her husband Joseph. Jesus was claimed to have done many miracles in his life time. They believe that Jesus was nailed apon the cross in order to save them from there sins. The story of the birth of Jesus is in their Holy Bible. Matthew 1:18-25 says:

18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.19Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23”The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”-- which means, “God with us.”

24When Joseph awoke, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

<==Santa Claus <==St. Nicholas

Santa Claus is a fictional character that was created after the German Saint, St. Nicolas. He was a man who in his life time gave presents to the less fortunate on Christmas Eve. St. Nicolas is the model for our modern Santa that all the small children adore so much. Santa is claimed to live in the North Pole and travel the world in 1 night giving presents to all the children of the world. Most children believe in the fictional character because it is a type of tradition. They learn through this character to believe what they can't see. In turn the people who celebrate christmas are showing their children that even though they can't see Santa he does exist. Kinda like how they can't see God but he does exist. Santa is an amazing character and an amazing way to teach your children that lesson.

Santa has a workshop in the North Pole of Elves. All of his little elves help Santa create the toys for the little girls and boys, in order for him to finish by christmas each year. Once Santa finishes his toy creating he loads the present onto his big red sleigh. His sleigh is pulled by magical Reindeer. He named them: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolf. Rudolf has a very interesting story:

Rudolph is the ninth reindeer of Santa Clause.
He became the favorite of Santa Clause because of his Red Nose that became so bright specially during night.

His nose became the light of all the reindeer including Santa during their trip on giving gifts to children.

Here are the lyrics about Rudolph's story I hope you like them.

"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"

Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him, you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say:
Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!
